ライフサイエンス業界向けにクラウドベースのビジネスソリューションを提供する米国Veeva Systems, Inc.（日本法人Veeva Japan株式会社、本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役：岡村 崇、以下：Veeva Systems）とNTTコミュニケーションズ株式会社（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役社長：有馬 彰、以下：NTT Com）は、本日、Veeva Systemsの東京データセンターの稼働を開始しました。Veeva Systemsの東京データセンターは、NTT Comの高品質なグローバルクラウドサービス「Biz ホスティング Enterprise Cloud」を基盤として利用し、より日本市場に適した形でお客さまのビジネスの成功に貢献します。
1.概要
Veeva Systemsは、セールスフォース・ドットコム社が提供するForce.com基盤と、ライフサイエンス特有のビジネスニーズを満たす為にVeeva Systemsが独自に開発したシステムを連携させることにより、製薬企業向けの顧客管理（CRM）ソリューションをはじめ、革新的なクラウドサービスを提供しています。
今回は、これまで国外に構築していた独自システムの機能を、高品質・高信頼のNTT Comのグローバルクラウドサービス基盤上に新設することにより、日本のお客さまが国内の通信環境の中でVeeva Systemsのサービスを利用できるようになり、卓越した信頼性、セキュリティ、パフォーマンスを実現します。また、東京データセンターは、今後日本国内だけでなく、アジア太平洋地域におけるコアセンターとしての役割を担う予定です。

NTT Com’s Cloud Platform Utilized for
Veeva Japan Data Center in Tokyo
TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and Veeva Japan, the Japanese affiliate of Veeva Systems, Inc., jointly announced today that Veeva Japan has started operation of a Tokyo data center that utilizes NTT Com’s high-quality global cloud service Biz Hosting Enterprise Cloud as a platform to better serve Japanese customers.
US-based Veeva Systems, a cloud-based business solutions provider in the life sciences industry, has been providing a variety of innovative cloud services, including customer relationship management (CRM) solutions tailored for pharmaceutical companies, offered in cooperation with Force.com, a cloud platform from Salesforce.com.
By moving its overseas system to NTT Com’s highly reliable platform in Tokyo, Veeva Systems allows its customers in Japan to access its services via the domestic communications infrastructure and enjoy its superior reliability, security and performance. Going forward, the Tokyo data center will also operate as a hub for Veeva Systems’ business in the whole Asia-Pacific region.
Naoya Yamasaki, director of product management for Veeva Japan, said, “We believe that the Tokyo data center will be the foundation that allows us to focus on the Asia-Pacific region, an important part of our corporate vision. We will be providing better solutions and services to meet customer needs in the Japanese market.”
